Super Mario RPG remake coming to Switch


Super Mario RPG is coming to Nintendo Switch this November, as announced during today’s June Direct.

The game showcases a complete visual overhaul and is scheduled for release on November 17th for the Nintendo Switch.

The upcoming remake of the 1996 Squaresoft turn-based RPG will bring a delightful enhancement to this already fantastic game through updated graphics and captivating cinematics. Players will have the joy of reuniting with beloved original characters such as Mallow and Geno, along with encountering uncommon enemies not typically seen in a Mario game. The inclusion of these elements adds an extra layer of charm to the experience.

This remake promises a refreshing twist on familiar elements, creating an exceptional gaming experience.

Yoko Shimomura, the renowned Japanese composer, has joyfully confirmed her role as the lead composer for the soundtrack of the recently announced Super Mario RPG remake for the Nintendo Switch family of systems. Expressing her dedication on Twitter, she stated, “I poured my heart into arranging every song, aiming to bring enjoyment to both fans of the original and newcomers alike!” Excitingly, Super Mario RPG will be available for Nintendo Switch on November 17th, allowing fans to experience it firsthand.
